At Kyocera Europe, our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy is rooted in the Kyocera Philosophy. At its centre are the teachings of our founder, Dr Kazuo Inamori, who built the company on the principle of “Respect the Divine and Love People” in all business operations. While the phrase may seem abstract, in practice, it translates into a simple idea: driving progress for the world around us.
This message guides how we think about CSR across Europe, from how we design products to how we support communities and the environment. It reflects our belief that businesses should act with integrity and contribute positively to the world it impacts.
In this blog, we’ll take a look inside Kyocera Europe’s sustainability strategy and the core initiatives, products and solutions shaping our CSR journey.
When it comes to eco-friendly product design, we walk the walk.
Sustainability is a core principle that shapes the way we design our products and conduct our operations.
Our ECOSYS range embodies this approach. By using long-life components and an amorphous silicon drum that lasts more than ten times longer than traditional alternatives, ECOSYS devices minimise the need for replacement parts and cut plastic waste. With toner-only replacement, they help organisations lower their carbon footprint while improving uptime and print quality.
The same principles guide our inkjet innovation. The TASKalfa Pro 15000c is designed to reduce print companies’ environmental impact. Its low-energy sleep mode helps cut electricity use, while precision engineering removes the need for test sheets before print runs or daily calibration. Print runs can begin immediately, reducing paper waste and boosting efficiency.
Our commitment to sustainable hardware is reinforced through strict governance and internationally recognised standards.
This includes ISO certifications, like the ISO 14001 certificate for environmental management, demonstrating that our operations are designed to minimise environmental impact, improve resource efficiency and maintain full compliance with environmental regulations.

Kyocera’s integrated software and document management solutions help organisations digitise information, streamline hybrid work, and support a more sustainable CSR strategy. Solutions such as Kyocera Cloud Print and Scan (KCPS) make it easy to convert paper documents into secure digital files and send them directly to cloud repositories. This shift to paperless workflows reduces physical storage needs and lowers resource use.
For small– to medium-sized businesses, Kyocera Cloud Information Manager (KCIM) provides simple, secure access to documents from any location. By enabling teams to retrieve information remotely, it supports hybrid working, reduces dependence on printed materials, and helps lower emissions associated with daily commuting and office energy use.
By improving how information is managed, organisations can strengthen day-to-day operations and their wider CSR strategy.
At Kyocera, we are focused on creating opportunities that help strengthen communities and harness human potential. Our CSR strategy addresses social themes such as education, employee engagement, skills development and community upliftment.
Alongside sustainable product design, our colleagues across the region are reducing emissions, supporting biodiversity, and strengthening environmental resilience in local areas.
Across Europe, we work with local recycling partners to provide a toner take-back service. This allows Kyocera customers to return used toner cartridges for proper recycling, helping reduce their environmental impact.
Kyocera Europe’s sustainability approach continues to evolve, guided by our philosophy and strengthened by actions across the continent. By combining sustainable design, meaningful social initiatives and integrated document management solutions, we support organisations in their unique CSR journeys. From hardware and software to community partnerships, we remain focused on progress that creates value for the world around us.
