As part of this shared mission, Kyocera Document Solutions France (KDFR) has partnered with Nos Grandes Forêts in an effort to preserve the Roche-Billard Forest located near Étampes in Essonne.

Investing in a greener future

For an initial three-year period, KDFR and Nos Grandes Forêts will work together to ensure the sustainable, long-term management of this young forest through:

• The development of a Simple Forest Management Plan (2025)
• A biodiversity audit to assess local flora and fauna (2025)
• Structural forestry work to encourage an “irregular high forest,” a richer habitat that enhances climate resilience (2026)
• Ongoing maintenance and forest stewardship to ensure long-term health

Not just any forest

The Roche-Billard Forest wasn’t chosen by chance. The 10 hectares they’ll be sponsoring absorb as much CO₂ annually as the digital emissions generated by all KDFR employees at our French headquarters. 

By investing in a forest on home soil, KDFR is reinforcing a commitment that reaches far beyond regional borders. This local project reflects Kyocera’s broader vision: that the only way we can truly coexist in harmony is by protecting both our society and the natural world that sustains it.

It’s also a chance to raise awareness about the essential role forests play, not only in climate resilience but in the papermaking process itself. From the source of the wood to the document in hand, every step matters.
