The company, whose headquarters are based in the city, were selected due to their cost efficiency and environmental approach. Built upon the philosophy of “doing the right thing as a human being” developed by founder Dr. Kazuo Inamori, Kyocera’s unique focus provided added value to a Summit which brings together some of the most powerful figures in the world.
The event relied upon devices such as the ECOSYS P8060cdn, TASKalfa 4052ci and TASKalfa 6052ci for all printing, scanning and copying needs. This was complemented by a 24-hour maintenance service for all devices at each location to ensure smooth and efficient operations throughout the Summit, which lasted two days. These devices were installed and used at the International Broadcasting Centre at the Summit as well as across other locations at the event.
For the first time, 2019 saw the G20 Summit held in Japan, the home country of Kyocera Document Solutions Inc. Kyocera has previous experience from providing printers and MFPs for such events having previously provided devices for the G7 Ise-Shima Summit in 2016 which welcomed leaders to Kashiko Island in Japan.
The event was attended by leaders from across the EMEA region covered by Kyocera Document Solutions Europe including French President Emmanuel Macron; German Chancellor Angela Markel; Italian Prime Minister Guiseppe Conte; Russian President Vladimir Putin; South African President Cyril Ramaphosa; Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Theresa May as well as European Union leaders, European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker. Invited guests also included Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
For Kyocera Document Solutions Europe, it was a privilege to see that world leaders are using Kyocera devices, providing testament to the fact that the organisation's products offer unrivalled durability and environmental performance. Kyocera takes pride in the quality and productivity of its devices and this Summit relied on products from both Kyocera's ECOSYS and TASKalfa ranges. Kyocera continues to strive to innovate and provide the utmost in printing excellence and this step presents another landmark in achieving that goal which began with the company's foundation in 1934.
