Kyocera brings sustainable textile printing to Paris Fashion Week
Kyocera Document Solutions Inc. supported the production of dresses using artworks painted by artists contracted to HERALBONY for ANREALAGE’s Collection at Paris Fashion Week SS 2026, held on 30 September 2025. The collection comprised 30 outfits, 26 of which used fabrics printed with our sustainable inkjet textile printer "FOREARTH". For this collection, 21 vibrant designs by 18 artists contracted to HERALBONY were printed onto a wide range of fabrics and, through ANREALAGE’s craftsmanship, transformed into distinctive garments that conveyed movement and vitality. FOREARTH printing was used for bags and shoes, giving their designs an inner glow that attracted significant attention.

ANREALAGE’s show took place in a runway format at the Palais de Tokyo, a major contemporary art hub on the Right Bank of the Seine in Paris, at 5:00 p.m. on 30 September. Thomas Bangalter, formerly of Daft Punk, composed music that combined heartbeats and creative sounds into a vibrant melody expressing vitality. The production, blending ANREALAGE’s design and technology with HERALBONY’s art, sparked great excitement.
The concept of the collection is the symbol "♡". Under the theme "Visualisation of Life," three companies joined forces, leveraging their respective strengths to collaborate under a shared commitment to "weaving together hearts and lives" in pursuit of a sustainable society.
ANREALAGE is a fashion brand whose name combines the three words “A REAL”, “UN REAL” and “AGE”. Guided by the concept of creating a world where the ordinary and the extraordinary interchange, the brand seeks to make visible – through fashion – those things that people unknowingly pass by in everyday life by calling them “the non-everyday.”
HERALBONY is a creative company that works with artists with disabilities. They craft unique brand experiences through art and storytelling, bringing inclusivity into business. By showcasing their unique expressions and sharing their narratives, they aim to change perceptions of disability and build a society where every 'difference' is valued. In July 2024, they established HERALBONY EUROPE in Paris – their first overseas subsidiary – to further expand their vision on a global scale.
Kyocera’s FOREARTH is an environmentally friendly textile inkjet printer that reduces the water usage required for conventional dye-based analogue textile printing by 99.98%. With a concept and technology focused on protecting water – an essential resource for life – FOREARTH contributes to reducing the environmental impact of the fashion industry.

Artworks created by HERALBONY-contracted artists are characterised by both intricate and delicate expressions and bold, powerful strokes. In the printing process for this garment production, our FOREARTH faithfully reproduced those artistic expressions. Moreover, features unique to each artwork — such as variations in brush pressure and brushstroke, along with subtle differences in hue and tonal gradation — were recreated through precise ink-volume adjustments made possible by digital technology, allowing FOREARTH to play a significant role in this production.
Through our sustainable inkjet textile printer FOREARTH, we will continue to contribute to resolving global challenges in the textile and apparel industry, including water pollution and high CO₂ emissions. We will also persist in applying technological capabilities to address various social issues around the world and continue our creative efforts to build a better future.

Comment from Kunihiko Morinaga, Designer at ANREALAGE
The theme of this collection is the symbol “♡”. The “♡” represents the heartbeat, the heart, and the core of life. Each person's unique pulse is proof of being alive and of existence itself. Through fashion, we sought to make that existence visible.
The catalyst was our encounter with HERALBONY. When we met artists with disabilities, we felt touched by an invisible, sacred presence. What they create is not merely art but the very embodiment of life. Their works emerge naturally, like a breath, accompanied by overwhelming power and beauty. The extraordinary beyond imagination was hidden within ordinary daily life.
Through four collaborations with Kyocera, FOREARTH's innovative technology has realised our creative vision without compromise. In this era, beauty is closely connected not only to colour and form but also to how a brand engages with social issues. Not only the garments themselves, but also the process by which they are made, is an essential element of beauty. We believe that continuing to adopt sustainable printing with FOREARTH will contribute to a new form of beauty for the next era.
Comments from HERALBONY’s Takaya Matsuda and Fumitaka
HERALBONY’s mission is to present the expressions of artists with intellectual disabilities not as objects of support, but as unique “works” in their own right. Our brother’s intellectual disability, along with autism, made me question the ingrained idea that disability equals pity. Since then, I have worked to challenge and change these attitudes.
Seeing printed fabrics from Kyocera’s sustainable inkjet textile printer, FOREARTH, moved me. The printer reproduces the nuance in the artists’ brushwork – the subtle breaks, dynamism, and vitality –directly onto fabric. It felt as if the works were truly imprinted on society. We believe this is meaningful for the artists, their families, and the welfare communities supporting them.
FOREARTH reduces water usage by 99.98%*1. This is significant for the resource and water-intensive textile and apparel industry. We will continue to work with Kyocera to introduce and scale a model that protects artistic integrity while helping to address environmental challenges.
Features of the inkjet textile printer "FOREARTH"
1) Water Free Concept
Dramatically reduces water usage in textile printing*1.
2) Creative Free
Proprietary pigment ink delivers both soft hand-feel prints and high fastness across a wide range of fabrics. The water-based pigment inks and the pre- and post-treatment solutions have obtained Eco Passport² certification, an international programme that verifies the safety and environmental impact of textile products.
3) Location Free
As textile printing with FOREARTH does not rely on water resources, it supports optimised production volumes and flexible manufacturing locations, contributing to reduced logistics costs, time, and excess inventories.
Because FOREARTH dramatically reduces water usage in textile printing to nearly zero, it does not require additional facilities such as steaming and washing used in the pre- and post-treatment processes of conventional textile printing. This also contributes to a significant reduction in energy
consumption and CO₂ emissions.
Furthermore, it achieves a soft texture while maintaining the natural softness of fabric, which is important in the textile and apparel industries, and enables high-definition printing on a wide range of fabrics, including cotton, silk, polyester, nylon, and blended textiles.
*1 FOREARTH has a two-step printing and drying process. No water is used in the printing process based on the concept of "WATER FREE". Kyocera focuses on reducing water usage not only for the printing process but also for the maintenance process. FOREARTH also recycles cleaning water used for the conveyor belt with filters, resulting in water consumption per 1kg of fabric reduced to 0.02L (Based on Kyocera research in 2022).
*2 Eco Passport certification demonstrates that textile products meet testing standards for hazardous substances and guarantees that they are safe and reliable.
