Kyocera is official digital transformation partner of Borussia Mönchengladbach

Meerbusch, 11 July 2023 - Kyocera Document Solutions, a leading provider of total document solutions, will be the official digital transformation partner of Bundesliga football club Borussia Mönchengladbach from the 2023/24 season. As a digital transformation partner, the company is a co-sponsor of the “FohlenElf” and will also support the club in shaping its digital future and acceleratin information processes. The three-year partnership extends Kyocera's commitment to Borussia Mönchengladbach, where the value proposition of "making information faster" is at the heart of the brand's presence.

As digital transformation partner and co-sponsor of Borussia Mönchengladbach, Kyocera is expanding its presence at BORUSSIA-PARK and around the club, including on TV boards and interview walls as well as online. The aim is to raise awareness of the Kyocera brand and its value proposition of "making information faster", which reflects the enormous development of the company and its product portfolio over the last ten years. While printing and copying systems were once the core of the brand, Kyocera now stands for the holistic optimisation and acceleration of business processes. With a comprehensive portfolio of hardware- and software-based solutions for the entire document lifecycle, Kyocera provides companies and public authorities with sustainable, secure and fast information processes.

Digital transformation partner: Together into the digital future

In addition to its role as co-sponsor, Kyocera will highlight its status as an official digital transformation partner. The office staff at the Bundesliga club deal with thousands of documents every day. Although more and more processes are going paperless, there is still a lot of printing and copying. Being able to access the right information quickly, at the right time and from anywhere is the basis for working efficiently and making sound decisions. Smart digital information management solutions make this possible.

"The demands placed on information processes have changed significantly in recent years – also at Borussia Mönchengladbach," says Dietmar Nick, CEO of Kyocera Document Solutions Deutschland. "We are therefore all the more pleased to be supporting the 'FohlenElf' over the next three years, not only as a sponsor, but also in the area of digital transformation. Together, we will take a close look at the club's digital status quo and, with the solutions and services of our group of companies, develop tailor-made digital transformation projects that meet Borussia's requirements and noticeably accelerate processes in the office."

"Making information faster": Making digital transformation tangible

It is not only behind the scenes that Borussia and Kyocera want to pick up speed together. The digital transformation is also to be made tangible for fans in the stadium and at home: "Our value proposition 'making information faster' succinctly sums up what the Kyocera Group stands for today with its partners and customers," adds Pascal Seifert, Group Director Marketing at Kyocera Document Solutions Deutschland. "We accelerate information processes from the digitisation of paper-bound documents to the processing and utilisation of the information they contain, right through to digital archiving or output on paper. In order to communicate this positioning even more intensively to a broad public, we have decided to extend our commitment to the five-time German champions and can thus bring the digital transformation to life through various activities in the environment of Borussia Mönchengladbach".

Great joy at Borussia

Stephan A. C. Schippers, Managing Director of VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach GmbH, is delighted with the intensification of the relationship between Kyocera and the “FohlenElf”: "As a former main sponsor, Kyocera has a long history with Borussia. As a club, we are all the more pleased that this long-standing partnership is now being extended once again and that it will go beyond pure sponsorship to become a digital transformation partnership. We look forward to an intensive exchange with Kyocera on digital solutions and efficient information processes, and to the resulting projects that will make our processes even more future-proof.
