Industries and markets are in a perpetual state of flux, and the same dynamism extends to the customers they serve. Therefore, businesses must be prepared to keep up with changing customer needs and the latest technological developments, or risk losing the long-term relationships and financial benefits they bring. However, the concept of a ‘good customer experience’ today is nowhere near as straightforward as it was a few decades ago.

A recent Accenture survey revealed that 88% of executives believe that customers are evolving faster than they can change their businesses. Digitisation has significantly accelerated the pace of change, resulting in the emergence of a consumer who is both more demanding and intricate.

But what does this mean? Businesses that struggle to adapt to change and harness new technologies will find it challenging to drive growth and effectively address customer issues. Ultimately, if you can't stay updated with the latest industry changes, how can you fulfil the needs of your customers?

Understanding changing customer needs

Toyota Turkey: powering manufacturing evolution

The automotive landscape is no stranger to transformation, and Toyota
Turkey
is an undeniable testament to Kyocera's industry expertise. Faced with the evolving demands of the manufacturing processes, Toyota Turkey aimed to develop a centralised documentation system that was both secure and cost-effective, allowing for easy reporting.

Moreover, the company required multifunctional printers (MFPs) capable of efficiently handling printing, scanning, and copying tasks in both black and white and colour. Ensuring secure printing and accurate print reporting were essential considerations during the implementation of the documentation system.

To meet their changing needs, Toyota turned to Kyocera's integrated solutions. The integration of Kyocera Net Manager (KNM) software with TASKalfa devices marked a turning point, ushering in a secure, profitable, and streamlined documentation system. The solution not only enabled transparent reporting of devices across the entire global Toyota organisation but also allowed the company to monitor the printing jobs performed from all Toyota companies.

On the other hand, the TASKalfa 3252ci and 4052ci multifunctional printers (MFPs) optimised the company’s business processes, efficiently handling both monochrome and colour printing tasks with fewer devices. This consolidated device approach effectively addressed the company's requirements, providing seamless device management for the IT department.

With Toyota Turkey achieving an impressive 25% cost savings, these exemplary results truly showcase Kyocera's ability to tailor solutions that meet the unique needs of each business.

Benefiting from the significant value added to the organisation, Toyota Turkey continues to cooperate with Kyocera. They experience elevated levels of customer service, fortified by the assurance that Kyocera will provide them with the right solutions at the right time.

Paris-Saclay: a seamless shift to remote work

The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the need for remote work capabilities, and Kyocera's role in Paris-Saclay's success story shines brightly. Nestled within a cluster of municipalities known for their intellectual and cultural prominence, Paris-Saclay faced the challenge of transitioning to remote work without compromising data security or increasing their high operational costs.

By consolidating their devices with Kyocera, Paris-Saclay is expected to save €1.5 million over five years without sacrificing on quality. The organisation chose to partner with Kyocera through its French distributor, Managed Document Services (MDS) Partners, due to Kyocera's extensive range of devices, which effectively addressed their diverse requirements. These encompassed black-and-white and colour printing, office task scanning, as well as large format printing and publication.

The installation of Kyocera's new fleet at Paris-Saclay was further enhanced through the integration of Kyocera Net Manager (KNM). This innovative
solution enabled users to print using their workplace ID cards, ensuring
heightened security and sustainability by preventing unauthorised access and paper wastage.

The organisation’s proactive approach and partnership with Kyocera marked a significant improvement in confidentiality, waste reduction, and invoice processing; a stark contrast with the previous printing system and service providers at Paris-Saclay, where control and GDPR compliance were lacking. The collaboration also shielded the organisation from supply-chain disruptions that affected others in IT management in 2021.
