Kyocera Launches High Performance A3 Workgroup Printer
01 June 2015
Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, is pleased to announce the launch of the Ecosys P4040dn to address a broad range of business printing needs. This A3 monochrome 40ppm printer is a fast compact device with robust paper handling capabilities, ideal for teams who need a variety of output sizes and comprehensive security features.
The Ecosys P4040dn replaces the successful FS-6970dn and boasts a host of new flagship features. The affordable hardware pricing and competitive cost per page gives users the best value in its class. This printer supports a combination of different media types and paper sizes from A6 to A3, from the internal cassette and the multi-purpose tray. Four optional paper trays give flexible media handling combined with a total capacity of 2600 sheets to accommodate any printing needs.
Berthold Hurtz, Product Manager Kyocera Document Solutions Europe said, "The Ecosys P4040dn is a productive and dependable workhorse. The high performance print controller can support peak volumes of up to 150,000 pages per month; significantly more than the typically expected 5,000 per month. As always, our Ecosys products deliver on our environmental promise with long life components, including Kyocera’s unique 500,000 page drum. Target customers range from workgroups in any organisation, SMBs to large accounts. Increased speeds and the excellent print quality of the P4040dn ensure even the most demanding teams and workgroups, such as those in construction companies and governmental offices, will be satisfied with the output."
Commenting further on Kyocera's environmental commitment, Hurtz continued, "The P4040dn has reduced TEC values and the lowest printing cost in its class. Even the box is 15% smaller, reducing overall carbon footprint by fitting more devices into each delivery."
Stay in control of sensitive data
Document security is increasingly important, especially where multiple users share devices, so the Ecosys P4040dn is equipped with an array of advanced security features to support this. PrivatePrint allows on-demand printing controlled through the product’s alphanumeric keypad and optional features such as a card reader for authentication and a data security kit which protects company information and assets enhance security at the device level. Data can be automatically deleted from the printer’s hard drive for maximum protection.
The Ecosys P4040dn is targeted at vertical markets such as banks, accountancy firms and construction companies where connection from multiple locations is mandatory. Kyocera’s mobile printing application, and device compatibility with AirPrint and Mopria (Mobile Printing Alliance), provide a truly mobile end-user experience and a simple way to print quickly from any device.
